The Rom Capital Opportunity Fund, a joint venture with Uberion Ventures, part of Bank of Scotland Corporate, commenced in 2007, will be managed by Rom Capital (Asset Management) Ltd.

The Opportunity Fund is seeded with a £25m, 13 strong, nationwide industrial portfolio named the Cavendish Portfolio, which was bought off an initial yield of around 8% and its annual income is £1.94m at present increasing.

The Fund has been launched to take advantage of the current UK property price correction market, which Robert Whitton and Daren Burney regard as a window of opportunity to acquire well priced assets and under managed assets to which they can apply their value enhancing strategy. The Fund will have an investment period of up to four years where they plan to invest £100m a year with a projected internal rate of return of 25%.
